Information on Mobile Network Coverage

• The maps in the 'Mobile Network Coverage Survey' section of OFTA's web site (thereafter referred to as 'this section') are produced for giving hikers a general picture about the mobile phone network coverage along individual hiking or country trails. They should not be used as substitutes for the hiking maps such as the Countryside Series Paper Maps published by the Survey and Mapping Office of the Lands Department.
• Information on mobile network coverage contained in this section is compiled by OFTA based on the survey it has conducted and is produced for reference by the public. Users should note that the sentence 'calls could be connected to one or more local network(s)' does not mean that they will be able to use their mobile phones along a particular trail, as the service may be provided by a mobile network operator other than the one that the user subscribes to. However, on such parts of a trail it is still possible for any user to make emergency calls by dialing '112', which will be connected through any local mobile network. Users should also note that the information shall be used for reference only and the data are subject to variations due to environmental, geographical and other relevant factors. Users should refer to updated information provided by individual mobile network operators for the coverage of the network they have subscribed.
• Whilst OFTA had endeavoured to ensure that the data were correct as at the date of the collection, no warranty or guarantee, express or implied, is given as to its accuracy of the information. OFTA is entitled to delete, suspend or edit the material at its absolute discretion without giving any notice or reason. The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (the "Government"), the Telecommunications Authority and OFTA accept no liability for error or omission and shall not be liable for any claim, loss or damage, howsoever caused, arising from the use of or inability to use this section or use of or reliance upon any information or material provided on this section.
• The Telecommunications Authority and OFTA hold the copyright of the network coverage information published on this webpage. The information may be downloaded free of charge for personal use subject to the conditions that it must not be used for re-sale or for commercial, trading or business purposes.
