Why Should I Pay Public Non-exclusive Telecommunications Service (PNETS) Charge?

PNETS charge is an interconnection charge paid by ISPs to local fixed telecommunication network services (FTNS) operators to cover the cost for the use of fixed networks in connecting the customers using "dial-up" Internet services to the ISP's facilities. Typically, ISPs will charge customers for the network usage cost and the PNETS charge will appear as a separate item in customers' bills.
